How to
Pack, label, and ship a web order
A shipping order is picked, packed, labeled, marked shipped, and followed by one tracking email to the customer.
- 1
Open web orders and print the pick list or the batch of packing slips for the paid shipping queue.

Read the requested service and the customer note on the packing slip before packing. Refunded quantities are already left off the fulfillment documents.
- 2
Open the label queue, select or scan the order, then enter the package and weight details it still needs.

An expedited-service badge is a promise made at checkout. Do not replace it with a slower service without resolving that with the customer.
- 3
Choose rates and buy the label, or use the morning run to buy the same service for every ready parcel in a batch.

Live rates and label purchase require a connected EasyPost or Stamps.com account in storefront settings. Buying postage does not prove the label physically printed.
- 4
Open the print run, print the 4×6 labels, and confirm the physical print before marking the packages shipped.

The shipped email is deduplicated and goes only after every active package on the order is out. If you made the label elsewhere, use the order's 'mark shipped without a label' path and record tracking there.
Worth knowing
- A provider label can be voided only while it is still unused; see 'Void an unused shipping label'.
- If the customer changes the requested service before a label is bought, no void is needed: open the package's rates and buy the agreed service. If a label was already bought, void it from the order's provider-label card, add another package, and buy the replacement there; the voided package cannot receive a second label.
- The label queue can export a CSV when fulfillment has to be handed to an outside shipping station.
