Operator and Employee modes.

If you manage a business and also work shifts in it, the bsns mobile app lets you choose how it is laid out. The choice is under Mobile mode. It changes which tabs you see and where the app opens. It does not change what you are allowed to do.

Operator

For running the business. The app opens on Needs you when you have approvals to give, or Today otherwise. The tabs are Today, Chat, Needs you and Work, with approvals and the work waiting on you up front. On a tablet, Tasks is added.

Employee

The view the people who work for you get. The app opens on Shift, so you can clock in and out, or on Today if the business does not use Shift. The tabs are Shift, Today and Chat. Needs you and Work are left out. On a tablet, Approvals is added.

Use it to work a shift without the management tabs in the way, or to see the app the way your team sees it.

What stays the same

Your role and permissions are the same in both modes. Switching never changes anyone else’s app.

The mode is saved for each business, so you can be in Employee for one business and Operator for another. Your other devices follow the same choice.
