How to
Set up a business phone number
Choose a bsns business line, then set up your own outbound caller ID if you want to use your mobile number.
- 1
Sign in to your own bsns account and select the business that should own the number. Open Settings and search for Phone & voice.
Chat · Settings → Phone & voice
Number setup requires admin access to Phone & texting. Enabling the paid add-on also requires business billing admin access.
- 2
If a business number is already shown, use that line and skip number selection. Otherwise choose enable phone service to open Billing. Review the displayed monthly charge and proration before enabling it. If prompted to add billing information, that opens checkout for the business base subscription. Review that subscription price and billing schedule before confirming. After checkout, wait for billing status to update, refresh Billing if needed, then enable the separate phone service add-on.
Settings → Billing → bsns Phone Service
Enabling phone service adds a paid subscription add-on; calling usage also costs money. A verified personal mobile number does not replace the required business line. Additional business numbers are not currently self-service; contact support instead.
- 3
Return to Phone & voice. Under pick your business number, enter a three-digit area code, search, and choose use this number beside the number you want. Wait for the phone service is live message.
Chat · Settings → Phone & voice → pick your business number
If setup stops after reserving your number, use finish setup for that same number. Do not choose another number to retry. If no numbers are available, try another nearby area code or contact support.
- 4
Review who should receive incoming calls, the voicemail greeting and recording settings on Phone & voice. Open My voice settings for your own ringing hours, forwarding and notifications.
Chat · Settings → Phone & voice; Settings → My voice settings
- 5
To show your personal mobile number on outgoing voice calls, follow Use your mobile number as caller ID. To show the business number, leave your caller ID on the business line. Make a test call to someone expecting it and confirm the displayed number with them.

Worth knowing
- If Billing says this business is managed on a home business subscription, contact bsns support to arrange phone service for the intended business. Do not create a duplicate base subscription or assume a phone add-on on another business enables this one.
- Business texting has separate registration and billing steps in Phone & voice. Picking a voice number or verifying your mobile does not complete business-texting registration.
- If Phone & voice is missing, confirm the selected business and your Phone & texting admin access. Contact bsns support if phone service is unavailable or setup keeps failing; include the error shown, never a verification code.
