How to
Send an agreement to be signed
A contract, filled in from records you already hold, signed by everyone who needs to sign it.
- 1
Write the agreement once as a template. Put anything the system already knows in double braces and it fills itself in.
Documents · agreements → templates → new template
Writing the text is the easy path. Uploading a PDF also works, but an uploaded file needs its signature boxes positioning before every send.
- 2
List every signer the document needs, in order. Signature lines are added for you, one per signer.
Documents
Renaming a signer later keeps their signature lines where you put them; removing one takes its lines with it.
- 3
Send it from the record it is about, so the customer, the item and the amounts fill themselves in.
Documents · agreements → templates → use this template
- 4
Each signer gets their own link and signs on their own device, in whatever order suits them.
Worth knowing
- If a contract prints something in double square brackets, that is a question nobody has answered yet — deliberately visible, so nothing gets signed carrying a term that was invented rather than agreed.
- Formatting a written template is three rules: ## starts a heading, - starts a bullet, and a blank line starts a paragraph.
