How to
Publish catalog items to the online store
Selected Shop inventory appears in your online store with checkout and fulfillment configured.
- 1
Configure online checkout, tax, pickup or shipping, Stripe readiness, and the shipping-label provider under Storefront settings.
Shop · settings → storefront
Do not enable live checkout until at least one fulfillment method, tax behavior, and live payment path are ready. Label readiness is separate from the shipping price shown at checkout.
- 2
Set the public store profile, logo, theme, hero products, hours, contact information, and published policy pages. These are the customer’s store settings, separate from your personal display preference, staff product appearance, and the site selected to brand the client portal.
Shop · settings → storefront → edit storefront content
- 3
Open Catalog → Categories, create the public category names and hierarchy, add artwork, and show the categories that should appear online.

Hiding a parent category hides its subtree from the storefront even when an item itself is marked online. Existing categories cannot currently be renamed or re-parented from this screen.
- 4
For each sellable item, verify price, images, description, category, inventory behavior, and availability, then turn on Show this item on the website or use the catalog bulk action.
Shop · catalog → item edit → storefront; or catalog → show on website
Items are off by default and archived items never appear. Item changes can take about a minute to reach the public storefront; category and navigation changes can take up to five minutes.
- 5
Open your public online store in a private browser, follow the chosen theme from catalog to cart, checkout, payment link and confirmation, and test the pickup and shipping paths you offer. Confirm the test order reaches Web orders in Shop.
Use a real end-to-end test before advertising the store. A visible product does not prove tax, payment, shipping price, or label purchase is configured.
Worth knowing
- The former Shopify connector is retired. The supported storefront is the built-in online store, backed by your Shop inventory.
- Coupon codes live at Settings → Coupons and can be scoped to online checkout, the register, or both.
- A store without a saved theme keeps the neutral storefront appearance. International quote acknowledgements and out-of-stock refund notices use the storefront logo when saved, with business branding as the fallback; this does not apply the website’s full typography or BrandKit to every email.
