How to
Receive a partial, damaged, or wrong-item delivery
Good stock enters inventory once while shortages and problem quantities remain visible for follow-up.
- 1
Open the purchase order, choose Log delivery, and compare every package and packing slip with the open quantities.
Shop · purchase orders → open the PO → log delivery
- 2
Enter the good quantity physically accepted today and provide serials for tracked units.
Shop
Only good quantity increases on-hand inventory. Use the actual received amount, not the original ordered amount.
- 3
Enter any unusable quantity separately as DAMAGED or WRONG_ITEM and add receiving notes for vendor follow-up.
Shop
Problem quantities do not enter stock or satisfy the ordered quantity. They remain outstanding until good replacement stock arrives. There is no PARTIAL condition to choose.
- 4
For a short shipment, leave the missing quantity blank and submit what arrived; log the remainder as another delivery later.
Shop
The PO stays PARTIAL while good quantity is outstanding and becomes RECEIVED only when every ordered line has been received as good stock.
- 5
Review the receipt evidence and PO status. If delivery history exists and the order will never finish, close the PO instead of cancelling it.
