Prepare a 1099 summary of vendor payments
You open a year's recorded payments to the vendors you marked 1099-reportable, to hand to your tax preparer.
- 1
For each vendor who may need a 1099, open the vendor, choose edit, tick '1099-reportable vendor' and save. You can add the W-9 later.

It counts only dated payment records kept here. Payments made outside, imported balances and bank-feed items may be missing, and the page warns about incomplete history.
Worth knowing
