Choose your chat profile and sharing settings

Set your profile and availability while deciding which activity signals teammates can see.

    In the native app, open Settings → Chat profile. Set your photo, timezone, and working hours, and choose whether to share your working hours.

    Set an away message and end time when needed; use Clear away status when you return. Turn on Automatic calendar status only if you want to share In a meeting, Focusing, or Busy.

    Automatic calendar status shares an availability label, not event names, locations, attendees, or links.

    Return to Settings to choose Read receipts and Chat activity independently. Read receipts let people see when you opened their messages; activity sharing shows when you are active where the business allows it.

    On supported iPhones, open Notification settings to choose Share iPhone Focus status. Your iPhone settings still decide which alerts can interrupt you.

Worth knowing

  • An unavailable business feature may hide or disable a control. A missing activity indicator does not establish that somebody is offline or has not read a message.
