How to

Attach a course quiz from Forms for instructor marking

A lesson uses a published form from the same business, and authorized staff review and record the learner's mark.

  1. 1

If you are authorized to administer Forms in Work, open Forms, choose New form, and add the quiz questions. Include a learner-name or agreed-identifier question so the reviewer can match answers to the course roster. Set the status to Live and save. If you do not have Forms admin access, ask a Forms admin in the same business to create and publish the form for you.

    Work

Being a course instructor or manager does not grant Forms admin access. Saving a Live form changes its public fields immediately; use a dedicated form for the quiz rather than changing an unrelated intake form.

  2. 2

As an authorized course manager, open the course's release and completion panel, find the lesson, and choose the published form in its quiz selector.

    Work

Only published forms from the course's business are offered. A draft or another business's form cannot be attached. If the selector is empty or disabled, ask the Forms admin to check the business and Live status.

  3. 3

Set marked to by an instructor. Set pass at to the required percentage when a passing threshold is needed. Learners answer through the quiz link in their course workspace.

    Work

An instructor-marked quiz waits for a recorded mark. Changing quiz or completion settings affects learners already taking the course.

  4. 4

Have an authorized Forms admin open that form's Responses, open a submitted response, and use the learner identifier in its answers to match it to the roster before reviewing. If you lack Forms access, coordinate that review with the admin. The course roster's submitted indicator does not show the answer content, and the Forms response heading may say Anonymous rather than displaying the learner's name automatically.

  5. 5

As an authorized course manager, open the learner's marks in the course roster and enter the reviewed percentage from 0 to 100 for the lesson. The mark saves when you leave the field; check the resulting mark and completion state.

Worth knowing

  • A quiz is attached to a lesson's completion settings; it is not a lesson content block, and the lesson builder does not create quiz forms inline.
  • This procedure uses instructor marking. Work's Forms editor does not expose answer-key authoring, so do not assume choosing automatically makes a newly created form gradeable.
  • Keep the attached form Live while learners need it. Saving it as Draft makes the quiz unavailable to learners.
